working at TAB – what inspires them, what challenges them, and why they continue to call this place home. Here’s what they had to say…

Finding Joy in the Everyday:
Answering phones may sound repetitive, but our team sees each call as a unique opportunity.
“Though the work we do is repetitive, it is also challenging. I find it rewarding to change the ‘feel’ of a call – not just by what I say, but how I say it. A friendly and upbeat tone can completely change a caller’s experience.” Others reflected on the satisfaction of truly helping people: “I like working with our clients. Unlike some of the calls we take, I can usually
resolve the issue or clear up confusion. Those are the moments where I know I’ve
accomplished something important.”

Calls That Stay With Us:
Every operator has at least one call that lingers in memory. Some are funny, some are tough,
and some are heartwarming. “I had a call with an elderly woman calling her doctor’s office. I’m sure it went on too long, but at the end she thanked me for my time and said I made her day. Those are the calls that make my day, too.”
Others mentioned calls that tested their patience, accounts that brought tears, and experiences that shaped how they approach callers today.

Always Room to Grow:
We also asked our team what they wish we could do better. Their answers reflected care for
both coworkers and the workplace environment… “I wish we had more time to celebrate birthdays, give positive feedback, and remind employees how important they are.”
“I’d love for some of our remote operators to come into the office once a month, just so
we can connect face-to-face and share ideas.” At TAB, we’re listening—and we know growth happens not only in the service we provide, but in
how we show up for each other.

Why We Stay:

“After two tours of duty and a total of 23 years of my life, this is home. Even after a
bad day, I can’t imagine working anywhere else.”
