From Switchboards to Smartphones: A Legacy of Connection

We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings… and we’re proud of it.

Our story starts in 1954, when my grandfather George saw potential in a small telephone answering service based in Los Angeles. With an eye for opportunity and a heart for service, he purchased the company and began building what would soon become a communications staple across Orange County.

By the time we incorporated in May of 1960, our footprint had grown to 23 locations. Back then, phone lines could only be forwarded about 10 miles… so to truly serve the region, we needed boots (and phones) on the ground in nearly every neighborhood. My father, Michael, played a key role in studying the surrounding business landscape and helping us strategically expand.

In the 1980s, we embraced the next wave of communication technology by investing in a then-little-known company called Startel Corp. They were pioneers in creating computer systems that could manage call traffic, a game-changer in our industry. With Startel, we became the first company to install an Automated Call Distributor (ACD) system, a tool that allowed us to route calls to the first available operator with impressive efficiency.

But we didn’t stop there. When pagers hit the market, we were early adopters, not just offering them as a service but seamlessly integrating them into our call

workflow. Whether it was a message for a Carl’s Jr. executive or a Sears manager, we made sure it got through… fast.

Today, the core of what we do remains the same: gathering information and making sure it reaches the right person. The tools, however, have evolved. We now serve clients nationwide, using cell phones, SMS, web portals and soon, artificial intelligence. Our roots are local, but our reach is national.

Decades later, we’re still family-owned, still innovating, and still passionate about making meaningful connections. Because no matter how the world changes, one thing remains: people still need to hear and be heard!

“Where every call counts.”
